Look at any photograph from one of these afternoons and the table is green before anything else happens. Leaves down the runner, a ring of them around every candle, something flowering in the middle where people put their cups.
That is not styling for the camera. It is how the room gets set, and it is the part people mention afterwards, so it is worth saying out loud: if you want the botanical version of a workshop, ask for it and that is the one you get.
The theme, not the craft
What asking for it actually changes
The craft, the length and the price are whatever that workshop already is. Three things move.
- The motif
- Leaves, stems and flower shapes instead of whatever the default pattern would have been.
- The palette
- Her greens and clay rather than the brighter set, which is the same palette the room is already dressed in.
- The table
- Set the way it is in these photographs. That part does not change, because it never was an extra.

Is botanical art its own workshop?
It is a theme rather than a separate class. You book one of the workshops on the calendar, or a private session, and ask for the botanical version. Nothing about the length or the price changes.
Can you do it for a private group?
Yes. Tell us the occasion when you ask for a price and the quote comes back with the theme already in it.
Do you use real or preserved botanicals?
Ask when you book. What is on the table varies with the season and with what the project needs, and we would rather tell you what it actually is that week than promise something here.
