What a room needs
Less than you think
None of this is a rule. It is what the activities physically want, so you can look at the room you have in mind and know straight away.
A table
One everyone can sit at with room to work. Two tables pushed together is fine, and so is a boardroom table.
A sink nearby
Not in the room, just somewhere to rinse hands. Mosaic, epoxy and kintsugi all want it at the end.
Chairs for everyone
People are seated for most of the two hours, so borrowed folding chairs are worth sorting beforehand.
A way in
Everything arrives in trays and boxes. A door at ground level or a lift, and somewhere to park while unloading.
What arrives with her
Everything else
The same as a seat at a public workshop, because it is the same workshop. It comes in, it goes out, and the table is left as it was found.

What hosts want to know
Every answer is in the page whether the row is open or not, so a search engine can read it.
How far will you travel?
The Halifax region. Bedford, Halifax, Dartmouth and the communities around them are all ordinary. Further out is a question of the drive and the load, so send where you are with your enquiry and you will be told whether it works and what it adds.
What does travelling cost?
It is quoted by distance, and it comes back as its own line rather than being folded into the price per person. You will see what the workshop costs and what the travel costs, separately, before you decide.
Do we need a special room?
No. A table everyone can sit at, chairs, and a sink somewhere nearby covers it. Offices, community halls, church basements and kitchen tables all work. The table gets covered on arrival and uncovered when it is done.
How long does setting up take?
She arrives ahead of the group to lay out the places, and packs down afterwards. You are booking the two hours everyone is making something, not the hour around it.
What if we would rather not host?
A room can be arranged instead, and its cost is itemised separately so you can see what you are paying for. The public workshops run in a rented room in Bedford, so this is the normal way round rather than a favour.
Can we do this outdoors?
Some of it. Candle making and decoupage travel outside well in good weather. Epoxy and kintsugi both want a still, level surface and shelter, because a piece that is knocked while it cures is a piece that has to start again.
