What is the September 20 workshop?
A kintsugi workshop, 1:30 to 3:30 PM at the Greenfoot Energy Centre in Bedford. It is $75 a seat and it is limited to 12 people. All materials are included, and there is coffee and cupcakes.
What is kintsugi?
It is the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with a visible seam of gold. Nothing about the break is hidden. The repair becomes part of the piece, and the bowl is worth more for having been broken than it was before.
What creative activities are offered?
Kintsugi, mosaic art, candle making, epoxy, and decoupage onto wood, glass and furniture. The list grows as new workshops are planned.
Do I need any experience?
No. Nothing here assumes you have done it before, and each activity is taught from the beginning.
What is included in the price?
Every material you need for the workshop, and refreshments. You bring nothing and you leave with what you made.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel at least 48 hours before the workshop and you are refunded in full. Inside 48 hours the seat cannot be refunded, because the materials for it have already been bought.
Where are workshops hosted?
Around Halifax and Bedford. The venue is confirmed for each workshop and it is on the reservation, as the September 20 one is.
Can I book a private event?
Yes. A private workshop is hosted for your group only. You choose the activity, and the room is set up for the number coming. Send your details through the form on this page and you get options back.
